SHELTER CHURCH IN KAMPALA-UGANDA,
FACING DEMOLITION
The New Generation Churches Community-SHELTER HQ is located in the heart of kampala city and our building is constructed on a private land we have been renting ever since the church was moved from the old adress.
Due to the lack of our own plot we never had a parmanent adress and have been shifting from place to place.
In 2015 we got our currently address (see the picture). We agreed to rent the empty land and as you can see we started the construction and unfortunately we have been given the ultimatum to evict the place or we buy it.
Therefore, we are coming to you brothers and sisters to share with you our will of buying that plot and keep our current adress .
We aiming to raise 135,500$ in order to buy the land.

BRIEF HISTORY
SHELTER CHURCH WAS FOUND BY AP. SCHADI IN 2015 AND THE FIRST CHURCH
SERVICE WAS HELD ON 15 TH MAY 2015 IN KAMPALA, CAPITAL CITY OF UGANDA
I (Schadi) have been in ministry since 1997 first as a choir leader, then as a youth leader before I was ordained as senior pastor in 2011 of the Merisa Rehoboth Church in Uganda by Apostle Mutayongwa who is the founder and the visionary of the Merisa Rehoboth church. - In 2013 due to internal conflict between the founder and the mother church where he came from and in which I refused to take part, I decided to resign because both side wanted me to choose side which I could not. - It’s only after 2 years that I started the Shelter Church in 2015. - After having rent different places, we thought we have finally find a place and been able to rent the land under an argument of 15 years renewable. - Our plan was to be able to raise funds in 15 years and buy the place, - Unfortunately, after we have built on the land the owner of the land got financial problem and they started pressuring us to buy the place. - Right now, the land is on sell and we have been given two years from 2021 to either raise funds and buy the place or we leave. - The land is in the heart of Kampala city in business area. - The location of the land is worthy of the amount they are requesting because it will be used not only for church but a school as well since it is in the center. It was very expensive, but our lawyer has managed to bring the price down to 135,500$
